China Develops 18MW Offshore Wind Turbine, Setting New Global Operation Record

The world's largest 18MW offshore wind turbine independently developed by China has achieved full power operation at the Guangdong Wind Power Linhai Test Base, once again breaking the global wind turbine operation record!

At this moment, the rotating unit can generate nearly 42 degrees of electricity for each rotation, which can meet the electricity consumption of 7 families for one day!

A single unit can output 75 million degrees of clean electricity per year, which can save more than 23,000 tons of standard coal and reduce more than 60,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. These carbon emissions require at least 3.31 million trees for a year to fully digest and absorb! The tip height of the unit can reach up to 274 meters. If such a large unit is placed on the runway in proportion, even the world champion will need more than 26 seconds to run the whole course!
